Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers Announces 2025 Recipients of the David & Carol Keeffe Youth Fund Awards

Sayre, PA – The Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers (CFTT) is proud to announce the 2025 recipients of the David & Carol Keeffe Youth Fund Awards and the Robert J. Sullivan Fund Awards. These grants exemplify the Foundation’s mission to strengthen communities and improve lives across Bradford County, PA.

The David & Carol Keeffe Youth Fund focuses on enhancing outcomes for youth from birth through career readiness, with an emphasis on supporting high-performing nonprofits that strengthen families and empower young people. The Robert J. Sullivan Fund honors Robert J. Sullivan’s legacy by supporting initiatives that benefit the citizens of Bradford County.

SAFE Receives Grant to Enhance Supervised Visitation Program
SAFE, an organization dedicated to empowering families, reducing domestic violence, and fostering healthy family dynamics, has received a grant to support its supervised visitation program. This funding will enable two of SAFE’s visitation monitors to attend the Supportive Supervised Visitation Certificate Training, offered virtually by the Supervised Visitation Network. By receiving specialized training in child development, trauma-informed care, parenting strategies, and communication, SAFE’s staff will be better equipped to create visits that are not only safe, but also supportive and healing for families.

SAFE’s supervised visitation program serves children and parents navigating complex challenges such as domestic violence, substance use, and mental health issues. With referrals from local courts, attorneys, and County Children & Youth Services continuing to rise, this training will enhance the program’s capacity to foster positive parent–child interactions, reduce stress, and promote long-term family stability. The grant is expected to benefit approximately 200 children and their parents over the next year, ensuring that visits provide a structured, supportive environment that helps families thrive.

ARCC Receives Grant to Expand Youth Prevention Education
The Abuse & Rape Crisis Center (ARCC) has received a grant to expand its prevention education programming across Bradford County schools. The funding will support interactive, trauma-informed classroom lessons that teach students from kindergarten through 12th grade about body safety, personal boundaries, respect, bullying, consent, and how to recognize and report abuse. ARCC partners closely with local school districts, human services agencies, and community organizations to ensure consistent access and tailored programming for all students.

Bradford County youth face ongoing risks related to child sexual abuse, domestic violence, and unhealthy relationships. During the 2023–2024 school year, ARCC’s prevention educators reached over 4,000 students, and this grant will help maintain and expand those efforts in 2025–2026. Success will be measured by student engagement, understanding of healthy relationships, and the number of disclosures or requests for support following sessions. By providing education, tools, and support, ARCC aims to create safer schools and empower students to recognize and respond to abuse effectively.
