Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers Announces the 2024 recipients of the Knoxville Grant

Sayre, PA – The Board of Directors of the Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers has announced the recipient of the 2024 Knoxville Fund Award: the Knoxville Public Library.

The Knoxville Public Library (KPL) is a vital resource for the community, dedicated to providing free educational, cultural, and recreational programs for people of all ages. In addition to offering a wide array of library services, KPL houses a local history museum that celebrates the rich heritage of the region through engaging programs and exhibits. The library’s mission is to inspire lifelong learning, foster community connections, and ensure equitable access to knowledge and resources for all.

With this grant, KPL will enhance its programming by upgrading its technology and digital resources. New equipment, including a projector, screen, TV, and speakers, will allow the library to deliver more dynamic and interactive experiences. These improvements will support educational workshops, community events, and other initiatives, benefiting patrons of all ages—especially those from underserved populations.

By expanding access to cutting-edge technology, the library aims to bridge the digital divide and strengthen its role as a hub for learning, collaboration, and engagement. This investment will enrich the library’s services, providing opportunities for the community to develop academic, technological, recreational, and social skills in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
