Exciting New Nonprofit Opportunity Launches in Bradford & Sullivan Counties for NEPA Gives

Sayre, PA – The Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers (CFTT) is proud to partner with the Scranton Area Community Foundation for NEPA Gives, the region’s largest 24-hour online giving event designed to empower people to give back to their community by supporting local nonprofits on one easy platform. This exciting collaboration unites nonprofits, businesses, and donors across Northeast Pennsylvania, providing a powerful opportunity to maximize charitable impact. Through NEPA Gives, participating organizations can leverage matching funds and special prizes, ensuring that every dollar donated goes even further to support vital causes in our communities.

On June 5-6, 2025, nonprofits will have the opportunity to rally support, increase visibility, and raise critical funds to further your mission. NEPA Gives has proven to be an incredible platform for organizations to expand their reach, engage new donors, and strengthen community ties.

NEPA Gives is an initiative that began in 2019 as a collaborative effort between The Scranton Area Community Foundation and many other community foundations in Northeastern Pennsylvania and community partners. It was established to support nonprofit organizations in Northeastern Pennsylvania by providing them with an opportunity to raise funds through a 24-hour online giving event. Through NEPA Gives, nonprofits can create fundraising profiles on the event’s website and engage with donors to raise funds for their specific causes. The event includes incentives and prizes to encourage participation and maximize the impact of donations. Since its inception, NEPA Gives has grown in popularity and impact, providing valuable support to nonprofit organizations across the region and fostering a spirit of philanthropy within the community.

Any registered* 501(c)(3) organization that is located in or providing services in Lackawanna, Luzerne, Carbon, Pike, Wayne, Bradford, Monroe, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Potter, Tioga and/or Wyoming County in Pennsylvania is eligible to participate. Additionally, individual donor-advised funds and charitable funds administered by a community foundation in the above-mentioned counties are also eligible to participate in NEPA Gives. Organizations operating under fiscal sponsorship of a public charity may be eligible to participate. If you are unsure whether your organization may be eligible, please reach out to us. *Participants must register and pay the registration fee by the deadline of Sunday, May 18th, 2025. About the Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers
The Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers serves Bradford, Potter, Sullivan, and Tioga Counties in Pennsylvania and Tioga County, NY. It is a purely public charity, incorporated as a non-profit, that has been granted 501(c)(3) status by the IRS.

The Community Foundation establishes permanent endowment funds from contributions of many individual citizens, corporations, other foundations, other charitable organizations, and government agencies for philanthropic purposes. As the endowment funds grow, the earnings from these funds are used to make grants to meet identified community needs or fulfill the desire of the donor. Donors can even make recommendations to the Community Foundation of charitable organizations to receive grants.

Founded in 2003, the Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers serves 5 counties, Bradford, Potter, Sullivan and Tioga County, PA and Tioga County, New York. The Foundation is committed to building philanthropic resources that will sustain healthy and vital communities now and into the future. The Foundation currently manages over 160 funds valued at $14.5 million dollars and has awarded over $2.3 million in grants and scholarships since inception, positively impacting hundreds of lives in the region.
