Sayre, PA – The Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers (CFTT) is proud to announce that the Sullivan County Food Pantry has been named a recipient of the Sullivan County Impact Award, a distinction that celebrates outstanding service and unwavering commitment to the well-being of residents.
The Sullivan County Impact Award recognizes organizations that go above and beyond to create meaningful, measurable change in their communities. The Sullivan County Food Pantry exemplifies this spirit through its dedication to supporting families facing food insecurity. By providing thousands of neighbors with nutritious food, and fostering partnerships grounded in dignity, compassion, and hope, the Pantry has become a vital resource in the region.
“The Sullivan County Food Pantry is more than a food distribution site, it’s a vital part of the community’s safety net,” said Joselyn Allen-Elford, Resource Development Associate at CFTT.
A registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and Pennsylvania charitable organization, the Sullivan County Food Pantry serves a wide range of individuals, including low-income families, single parents, senior citizens, unemployed individuals, disabled veterans, the working poor, and anyone else in need of assistance.
Throughout 2024, the Pantry expanded its outreach initiatives, strengthened volunteer coordination, and enhanced food sourcing strategies, all in response to increased demand and continuing economic pressures. Its efforts stand as a powerful example of grassroots impact.
