Sullivan County Food Pantry Receives Support from the Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers’ Sullivan County Impact Fund

Sayre, PA – The Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers (CFTT) is proud to announce that the Sullivan County Food Pantry has been named a recipient of the Sullivan County Impact Fund Award. The Sullivan County Impact Fund was established to address the county’s most pressing needs and support initiatives that strengthen the local community.

This funding will help the Sullivan County Food Pantry expand its services to meet the growing demand for food assistance, ensuring that more local families have access to nutritious meals. “The Sullivan County Food Pantry is more than a food distribution site, it’s a vital part of the community’s safety net,” said Joselyn Allen-Elford, Resource Development Associate at CFTT.

A registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and Pennsylvania charitable organization, the Sullivan County Food Pantry serves a wide range of individuals, including low-income families, single parents, senior citizens, unemployed individuals, disabled veterans, the working poor, and anyone else in need of assistance.

Throughout 2024, the Pantry expanded its outreach initiatives, strengthened volunteer coordination, and enhanced food sourcing strategies, all in response to increased demand and continuing economic pressures. Its efforts stand as a powerful example of grassroots impact.
